This four ingredient pumpkin goat cheese spread is perfect on a bagel for breakfast or even on a turkey sandwich for lunch! It only takes a few minutes to make AND it's 21 Day Fix approved!
Sometimes you just need pumpkin in your life. Not next week, not tomorrow, not in an hour, but RIGHT. NOW. At least that was me a few days ago. I kept seeing pumpkin everything all over the interwebs and I just couldn't take it any more. So I came up with this brilliant idea that I would make a quick pumpkin dip to go with some pears as a sweet snack and it was going to be legen - wait for it...
- DARY!
Only it wasn't. Sigh.
So I whipped up this mixture (in all of about 3 minutes) that I was SO sure was going to be freaking amazing and it was! It was fantastically pumpkin-y and a little tangy from the goat cheese with just the right amount of sweetness and spice and all around just perfect. I couldn't WAIT to dip my pears into the stuff. So I did.
But don't.
I mean it. Do not dip pears into this pumpkin-y goodness. I don't know why, but the texture just does not work. It was weird, trust me.
However, after hanging my head in shame (how could I have been SO wrong?) and being momentarily disillusioned, disappointed and discouraged, I realized that this would make an amazing pumpkin goat cheese spread. Lightbulb moment, people. Then I couldn't wait to lovingly slather it all over everything in sight (just not pears, seriously forget about the pears). So I did. And you should too.
This spread is sort of like pumpkin-flavored cream cheese but with extra oomph from the tangy goat cheese. It's such a great flavor combo, who knew? Plus, the 21 Day Fix gods fully approve (unlike with cream cheese). It's delicious on:
- bagels
- pretzels (awesome in a lunch box!)
- toast
- sandwich thins turned into adorable jack-o-lanterns for Halloween
- turkey sandwiches (OMG, the turkey sandwiches!)
- whole wheat crackers
- pretty much any other carby wonder you can think of
I love that this spread is only 4 ingredients that I almost always have on hand and that my kids love it too (even my oldest who hates goat cheese). Just right for when we need some of that fall flavah STAT!

Okay, first of all... I'm still squeeing over how ridiculously cute that jack o lantern bagel is. Um... can you send me some of that awesome Halloween spirit in a care package, or something? Hehe. Second of all, I'm SUCH a dork. I literally stared at the spot where you wrote "DARY," trying to figure out what internet speak-y acronym it must be. Then, I properly (actually) read the lines before it and realized what it was all about. Oh dear. Monday brain. Lol. So this dip you say... I should dip pears in it, right?? 😉 I kid! Love that you had a lightbulb moment and figured it out. I always have faith in ya, Steph! This spread looks amazing and perfect. Totally gets me in the mood for fall. NICE. Pinned! xo Happy Monday & of course, bog hogs! <3
Stephanie says
All the Halloween spirit coming at ya! Halloween is HUGE in my house, the kids are already on me to decorate outside! That's so fantastic about the "DARY", I always feel like I'm the last to know about acronyms and the things the cool kids are saying so that's something I probably would have done too! It's cool, D, we can be dorks together 😉 Thanks for pinning! Bog hogs!!

So I don't like pumpkin... I Know, I know - that's like a cardinal sin for food bloggers! BUT this spread?! Now THIS is something I could devour! I LOVE goat cheese so combining it with pumpkin just might be the way to get me to sing a different tune about pumpkin all together! Seriously, this looks delicious and I could totally see myself spreading this on ALL the things!! Totally trying this soon! Cheers, girlfriend!
Stephanie says
Yes! All the goat cheese! I definitely believe that if you don't like a certain food, you just haven't had it in the right way yet, maybe this is your way! I'd love to be the one to take you over to the dark, er, orange side...lol - Seriously though, I hope you love it, Chey! Cheers to you!

I need to make this! I love all things pumpkin and this is just perfect! I will totally trust you and not try the pear with it, but I will put it on everything else...I bet it is just awesome on a sandwich or just straight into my piehole....nothing else, lol 😀 Big fan of both goat cheese and pumpkin so the marriage of the two is right up my alley. Pinned 🙂
Stephanie says
Yep, it's pretty fine right off of a spoon. Ooh... throw a pecan on top and you've really got something going! Thanks, Dawn!! <3
