These 21 Day Fix Clementine and Cocoa Overnight Oats are such a deliciously easy make-ahead breakfast. Who wouldn't want to wake up to the indulgent flavors of chocolate and orange? Plus they're gluten free, dairy free and vegan!
Hello!! Raise your hand if you want to wake up in the morning to a chocolatey delight without having to do anything at all in the actual morning? I see so many hands raised! Ok, so it's 6 am here in the AK as I'm writing this and I'm quite possibly delirious, but that's really beside the point. (I think). The point is, these overnight oats are the bomb dot com, end of story. Well, almost.
Before I get into these oats a bit more, I'd like to share a few photos of our Alaskan adventures with you, because it's fun π
Ok, so now that we've gotten mildly off track, let's get back to these oats. You guys. These overnight oats are so delicious, they're like if hot cocoa got together with sweet clementines and had a chocolate-orange candy bar flavored baby. Or something like that.
Anyway, I've always loved that flavor combo and it seemed like such a natural fit for some AMAZING, ASTOUNDING, DEATH-DEFYING overnight oats. Wait - scratch that last one. Seriously though, if you haven't tried overnight oats yet - or maybe if you have, but they had Greek yogurt in them and you weren't down with that (like me) then you need to try these ASAP!
I love that I can make them ahead, which only takes a few minutes and then I have a no-work breakfast for several days. For me this is really important because I HAVE to eat before I work out or I get nauseous. It's not fun, people. So the sooner I can eat my breakfast, the sooner I can get my workout in (i.e., the more likely it is that my workout will actually happen), so I don't really want to be wasting time cooking in the morning if I can help it.
Because of this, I have a few more make-ahead breakfasts in my back pocket - if you're interested I put some links under the recipe π
I hope you guys love these easy oats as much as I do!

π Recipe
Clementine and Cocoa Overnight Oats
Ingredients
- β cup old-fashioned oats (be sure to use oats that are labeled gluten free if you're GF!)
- β cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 Β½ teaspoon pure maple syrup
- Β½ cup peeled clementine sections, checked for seeds
- some slivered almonds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a lidded container, stir together everything but the clementine sections and the almonds. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Serve with the clementine sections and the slivered almonds if using. I like to layer the clementines in between two layers of chocolatey oats π
Notes
21 Day Fix Container Counts per serving: 1 Yellow, Β½ Purple, 1 Β½ teaspoon maple syrup (I didn't count the almonds or the almond milk as both were very little to count - the almond milk would have been β rd of a teaspoon and only 10 calories, the almonds were about β th of a blue)

I made this recipe last night and enjoyed it this morning. Very tasty! I only used 1 tsp of maple syrup, and it was just the right amount of sweetness (not too overpowering). I also used mandarin oranges packed in juice since that was all I could get from the store.
I did find that the oats had a bit of liquid at the bottom, so I will likely reduce the amount of almond milk to just under 1/3 cup (instead of the full 1/3 cup). I forgot about the almonds, but plan to add that to tomorrow's breakfast. Thanks for the great work you do! I have been really enjoying your recipes! π

WOW!! Those Alaska pics are gorgeous!!! I need to visit there soon. Usually when I eat chocolate for breakfast, it's something bad, like in croissants or a big piece of cake. Loving that your recipe is healthy so I can eat chocolate for breakfast every day! Woooohooo!

Thanks, Karrie! Yes, you need to visit Alaska! So beautiful here. And I hear ya, I'm a big fan of chocolate cake for breakfast - I mean, it just goes so stinking well with a big ol' cup of coffee, right?! But I definitely feel better about eating this yumminess every single day π

Alright, but that photo of your fam on the bridge... I want to frame it. It's so beautiful and amazing. How did I not know that your nature photography was this INSANELY incredible? An emergency spoon?? Why didn't I think of that?! You're a genius, D! And I know, right?! That beach is the prettiest! The best part is, there's almost never anyone else there, so it's basically the most peaceful place ever. You're so sweet to me btw, so glad you liked the photos! Believe me, this place makes gorgeous nature photography a piece of cake π I could totally do both with all of my awesome time management skills... just kidding. I could use a little help in that department! Are you doing some time management workshops? I think I could learn a thing or two from you! Bog hogs back at ya! <3 <3 <3
