This 4 Ingredient Strawberry Daiquiri recipe is the perfect summertime sipper! It’s easy to make, a real crowd-pleaser, vegan, gluten-free, plus 21 Day Fix approved and Weight Watchers friendly!
Hey guys! And hellooooooo summer-in-a-glass! ↑↑↑
There are plenty of amazing summery drinks in the world (in fact, I’ve already shared a ton with you guys, like this Honey Paloma, or this Coconut-Lime Margarita!), but a Strawberry Daiquiri is always the first drink I think of when my eyes glaze over because I’m daydreaming those sunny, poolside daydreams. Sigh.
I don’t know how I haven’t gotten one of these beauties out to you sooner, but my apologies, dear reader, because you deserved this ridiculously delicious, sweet, refreshing, 4-Ingredient Strawberry Daiquiri in your life. It’s just SO good and I can’t wait to make a bunch of them for the fam (the grown-up fam, of course) on the fourth of July coming up!!
Ok, without further ado, let’s do a little Q&A and then I’ll show you how easy it is to make ’em!
What rum is best in a Strawberry Daiquiri?
I tested this recipe with several rums (erm… for science…) and concluded this – Bacardi Superior (or another pretty neutral white rum) is the right rum for this job because it really lets the strawberry flavor shine! And you guys, this is coming from a rum snob, there aren’t too many things I would choose Bacardi Superior for, but this is one, and it’s SO good.
That being said, I also tested this with Papa’s Pilar blonde and Plantation 3 Star (my hands-down pick for a classic daiquiri, btw). They were both delish, too, and if you like to play like me, definitely try other rums in this for fun! You’ll just get very different drinks with those, and maybe not quite what you’re expecting from a frozen strawberry daiquiri (not that that’s a bad thing)!
Can I replace the rum with vodka to make a Vodka Strawberry Daiquiri?
Absolutely! For me it’s best with the rum, but if you prefer vodka (or if that’s what you’ve got on hand), then go for it!
Can I use this recipe to make a Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri?
Yes! In fact, when I was testing these, I made a couple of Virgin Strawberry Daiquiris for my older daughter and she LOVED them! Just substitute the rum for water and add extra as needed to thin it out 🙂
Is this 4 Ingredient Strawberry Daiquiri gluten-free?
Yes! IF you make it with Bacardi Superior or another gluten-free rum (most unflavored rums are considered gluten-free, but definitely carefully check if you’re GF!). This Gluten-Free Alcoholic Beverages post from Celiac can give you more info and some specific brands.
Is this frozen strawberry daiquiri vegan?
Is this 21 Day Fix approved?
Of course, this is a 21 Day Fix Strawberry Daiquiri! It counts as 1 yellow drink swap 🙂 I’ve also included Weight Watchers points in the recipe card for my WW peeps, I’ve got you guys!
How to make a frozen strawberry daiquiri:
To a blender, add fresh (or thawed from frozen) strawberries, frozen strawberries, lime juice and rum and simple syrup…
then add the water and ice. Blend until smooth, adding extra water if necessary to thin it out.

- 1 1/2 oz light rum (be sure to use Bacardi Superior or another gluten-free rum if you're GF!)
- 4 oz frozen strawberries (about 1 cup) - I like to buy the sliced frozen strawberries if I can for easier measuring and blending)
- 4 oz fresh strawberries (about 3/4 cup) - or you can use more frozen strawberries that have been thawed
- 3/4 oz - 1 oz simple syrup* (depends on the natural sweetness of your berries and how sweet you like it)
- 1/2 oz lime juice
- 3/4 oz water
- 2 ice cubes
- Throw all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth! If it's a little too thick, just add a little bit of water at a time until you get to your desired consistency.
*To make simple syrup, put equal parts sugar and water in a small pot and heat just until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and refrigerate until ready to use - this will last in the fridge for a good couple of months!
**if you want this to be boozier, knock back the strawberries to 2 1/2 oz frozen and 2 1/2 oz fresh!
21 Day Fix Container Counts per Serving: 1 Yellow Drink Swap, 1 1/2 Purple (you can decide whether or not you want to count the purple in this or if you'd rather just call this a yellow drink swap and call it a day)
