This easy 21 Day Fix Creamy Coleslaw is a simple and crazy-delicious side dish that's the perfect addition to any dinner. Especially fantastic for barbecues, picnics and holidays!
Hey guys! So I wanted to call this "Creamy Dreamy Coleslaw", but I refrained. I'm figuring people don't often search the interwebs for "creamy dreamy coleslaw", but they totally should. I mean, that should really be the standard, right? Unless you're looking for a vinegar based slaw, in which case, that's a horse of a different color.
I REALLY heart coleslaw, but ya know what sucks about it? I know you already know. The fat and calories are seriously out of control*. Even though it's made up of veggies, you won't be losing weight eating it any time soon. Well, the regular version, that is.
No more my friends.
Anyway, recently when I was testing a different recipe (South Carolina-Style Pulled Pork with Mustard BBQ Sauce... coming next week!), I REALLY wanted some slaw to go with it, or on it or basically whatever it takes to get everything in my mouth because yum.
I made a slaw that was pretty close to the one in this post, but it wasn't quite perfect. So I tested some more and YOU GUYS. This one is perfect.
So perfect, in fact, that my daughters thought I bought it at the store. I know, that doesn't really sound like a glowing endorsement, but from my kids, it kind of is. They both gobbled it up and I'm here to tell you, it is TOUGH to get that little one to eat veggies!
It really is a million times better than anything you can get pre-made at the store, it's so damn delicious, creamy and dreamy. Perfect for barbecues, picnics, holidays and getting veggies into reluctant children's (and adults?) mouths. You'll never buy pre-made again, I know I won't.
Looking for more tasty, summery side dishes? Some faves from my friends are Cucumber-Cantaloupe Salad, Broccoli Bacon Salad with Pumpkin Seeds, and this easy One-Step Salsa. Oh! And here's a HUGE list of recipes that are perfect for all of your BBQ, picnic and potlucking needs 😉
*Fun fact: the same size serving that you're getting here (a half cup) can be anywhere from 140 - 210 calories when bought at the grocery store or ordered in a restaurant. This one clocks in at only 65! Whoop whoop!!

📖 Recipe
21 Day Fix Creamy Coleslaw
Ingredients
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (0, 1 or 2%)
- ¼ cup mayo
- 3 Tbs white wine vinegar
- 2 Tbs plain unsweetened almond milk
- 4 teaspoon raw sugar
- small sprinkle of salt
- black pepper, to taste (I don't use much for this recipe)
- 14 oz bag of shredded dry coleslaw mix in the produce section
Instructions
- Whisk together all ingredients except for the coleslaw mix. Stir in the coleslaw mix and refrigerate until serving. A few hours of refrigeration is best, but I've eaten it right away and it was still delicious!

Hey Stephanie, I didn’t realize mayo was fix approved? What container would this count as?
Also, this recipe says 1/2 sweetener tsp in your container count after listing 2 tsps. Are there so many sweetener tsps a day on top of the regular tsps?
Thanks!
Stephanie says
Hey Bianca - yes, mayo now counts as a teaspoon, beachbody updated this online, but hasn't updated their hard copy books as far as I know.
In the coffee section, it states that we can have upto 4 tsp of the approved sweeteners per day, if you don't use them in your coffee, you can use them in other awesome things. 🙂 Hope this helps!

White sugar is not an allowable food on 21-day fix. Your recipe has really good potential, but it feels dishonest of you to post a recipe with this ingredient.
Stephanie says
Hi Melissa! I'm not sure what you're referring to here? There isn't white sugar in this recipe, only raw sugar, like all of my recipes that call for sugar. Raw sugar is an approved sweetener for the 21 Day Fix - for your reference you can find it in the coffee bar section of the book. I'd also just like to say that I consider myself a nice, honest person and would absolutely NEVER purposely mislead anyone with an ingredient. Hope this clears things up for you so you can try out this dish, it's been a HUGE hit in all of the Facebook groups that I admin!

I made this to pair with your Healthy Pulled Pork with Mustard BBQ Sauce recipe last night after a full, busy day...it turned out awesome! (I did sub agave nectar for the raw sugar and cashew milk for the almond milk, due to sensitivities.) I definitely felt like I was eating off-plan! Thanks for such a refreshing and healthy summer salad alternative!

Yay!! You're so welcome, I'm super happy you loved it!
