This beautiful combination of berries, goat cheese and basil make this healthy, 21 Day Fix approved salad something that I look forward to all morning!
Before I start talking about this ridiculous salad dressing (because it’s all about the dressing) I wanted to share my exciting news! For the next several days, I’m going to be the Featured Chef on MyRecipeMagic.com! Hold on, can I just give a few more “!!!!!!”? I may or may not have done a little happy dance upon getting said news. I’ll be pleading the fifth on that one. 🙂 Should be up sometime today!
Anyway, I’m so in love with this salad. It has one of my favorite flavor combos of all time: strawberries, goat cheese and basil. These things just work, people. If you’ve been following me, you already know that I’m ALWAYS working on new salads because, frankly, you can never have too many salad options. Especially if you’re a fixer, we’ve got greens to get in! Btw, If you’d like to add a protein, some chicken would be really great in this. In hindsight, I probably could have added some, but I didn’t. So there you go.
Speaking of things that I didn’t add to this salad… you may or may not have noticed that there is not one measly basil leaf in these pictures. This was such a silly flub… after taking the pictures, I looked over at my husband and said, “Oh &$^#@! I forgot the basil!” Just kidding. I would never talk like that. I’m a lady. But trust me, you want the basil. All of the basil! It’s not to be missed 😉
